Local Resources Katy Compassionate Friends Monthly Meetings The Katy group meets on the second Tuesday of each month. At the beginning of the meeting we have a short discussion or a special speaker. At the beginning of the meeting we introduce ourselves and our loved ones. We then have a discussion about a specific topic. Only those that wish to share or talk need do so. We then break out into small groups. Our sibiing group meets on ZOOM the Thursday following our first regular meeting (2nd. or 3rd. Thursday of the month). The meeting is hosted by Jill and Stephanie, our sibling leaders. We ask that you check the schedule on the website, or on our facebook page or facebook group as our schedule may change from time to time. We do have events that are planned and they may be in lieu of a regular meeting. Two times a year we have special meetings. There is a Floating Lantern Release or Butterfly release in May, and a Candle Lighting Ceremony in December. Details of the next local meeting are on this site's Home page. Loving Listeners Please call anyone on the Loving Listeners page if you have any questions, or just want to talk to someone. Katy Chapter Newsletters

Special Meetings For Parents Whose Child Was Lost to Suicide
The Katy Chapter of TCF has a unique program for parents whose children died from suicide. All parents attend the opening
of our meeting each second Tuesday of the month and then adjourn to their own private meeting for the remainder of the
meeting. Death from suicide usually requires additional and unique group dynamics.
